There are two parts: this website and the Proto-Mind application.

This website

There is no account, advertising tracker or form on this site. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical request information to deliver and protect the website. Links to GitHub and other services are covered by those services’ own policies.

Proto-Mind on your Mac

The application stores conversations, preferences and saved memory in your local profile. The application package does not contain the maker’s conversations, credentials or API keys.

Connected AI services

Cloud models receive the inputs and context sent to them. Voice sends audio to OpenAI. Full Mac mode may provide file, command or screen content to the model. These features require the corresponding choices and permissions in the app.

Credentials and backups

The voice API key is stored in macOS Keychain. Local backups have a defined scope and exclude service credentials, provider history and your project source files. Deleting the app does not delete its local profile.
