The portable beta is being prepared for public download.

Version 0.62.0 is packaged and checked locally. Apple notarization and a test on a second Mac are still pending. There is no public installer link yet. The public repository currently contains an earlier version; this workspace update has not been published there yet.

When the installer is available

  1. Install Proto-Mind

    Open the DMG, drag Proto-Mind into Applications, and open it from there. Python and Codex are included.

  2. Connect your account

    Use the welcome screen to sign into your own ChatGPT account with Codex access. Or connect an independently installed Ollama.

  3. Choose your permissions

    Enable cloud processing before sending to OpenAI. Mac access and the microphone are separate choices.

  4. Add voice if you want it

    In Settings → Voice, add your own OpenAI API key. Voice API usage is billed separately from your ChatGPT subscription.

The current beta is locally signed, without Apple notarization. macOS may block a downloaded copy. Do not disable system protections to install it.
